Cron Scheduler
The Cron Scheduler allows you to schedule monitoring tasks using cron-like expressions. It supports five fields: minute, hour, day of month, month, and day of week.
Fields
| Field | Range | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Minute | 0-59 |
The minute of the hour when the task should run. |
| Hour | 0-23 |
The hour of the day when the task should run. |
| Day of Month | 1-31 |
The day of the month. |
| Month | 1-12 |
The month of the year. |
| Day of Week | Monday-Sunday or Any |
The day of the week. |
If both the day of the month and the day of the week are specified,
then the task will use the
OR logic.
Next Execution
The Cron Scheduler calculates the next execution time based on the current date/time (using the local time zone). If no matching time is found within a 5-year window, the scheduler returns an invalid date and the task will not execute.
Examples
| Expression | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Minute=0, Hour=9 | Every day at 9:00 AM |
| Minute=30, Hour=14, Day=1 | First day of every month at 2:30 PM |
| Minute=0, Hour=8, WeekDay=Monday | Every Monday at 8:00 AM |
| Minute=0, Hour=8, WeekDay=Monday, Day=1 | Every Monday at 8:00 AM OR Every first day of the month at 8:00 AM |
| Day=31, Month=2 | Will not schedule, since Februrary has only 28/29 days |
